Ellie Zeron | Founder & Winemaker
 

Great wine begins with curiosity, a respect for nature, and a passion for bringing out the best in every grape.

Ellie's journey into winemaking began with a foundation in Chemical Engineering, earning my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Los Andes in Venezuela, and continued with professional winemaking studies at UC Davis. Her scientific background shapes the way she approaches wine, but her creativity, intuition, and a deep appreciation for the vineyard that bring each bottle to life.
 

At Zeron Vineyard & Winery, in the heart of Washington’s celebrated Red Mountain AVA, Ellie combines science and artistry to craft small-lot wines that express the distinctive character of this remarkable growing region. From vineyard to cellar, every decision matters. She believes exceptional wines are made through attention to detail, thoughtful craftsmanship, and a commitment to letting the fruit speak for itself.
 

As a Venezuelan-born winemaker, Ellie brings her own perspective, experiences, and cultural roots to an industry with a rich tradition and a constantly evolving future. For Ellie, wine is more than what is in the glass. It is a way to connect people, share stories, explore new experiences, and create memories around the table.
 

Every wine she makes reflects a little of who she is and the place that inspires her. Her hope is that when you open a bottle of Zeron wine, you discover not only the bold character of Red Mountain, but also the passion, purpose, and personality behind it.
